Occasional Office Support for Banbury Volunteer Bureau Driver Service

Are you between jobs and could do short period of voluntary work in order to enhance your CV?

We seek someone willing to give 2 hours once in a while to help organise our volunteer car service. This scheme provides essential transport, mainly for medical appointments, for those who are unable to access public transport or the help of friends and family in Banbury, Bicester and surrounding villages. Journeys are undertaken by volunteer drivers based in Banbury and Bicester, and your role would be to help match incoming requests with available drivers.

Mentored initially by an experienced organiser you will quickly progress to independent operations. Our small office is based in the Horsefair Surgery, South Bar, Banbury and we are open 10.00 am to 12 noon Monday to Friday: there is an answerphone service available at other times.

We do not expect a long-term commitment and would welcome any support you are able to give tailored to your personal needs. For example, we have previous experience of someone who helped us out for 3 months whilst finding suitable full-time employment.
